Lenbur defies the traditional definition of a museum as a single space by offering the visitor an itinerary through several buildings in Legazpi in order to experience everyday life during the fifties or to discover how the old foundries worked.
Between the 14th and 18th century, Legazpi stood out as an iron producer, with numerous foundries operated by hydraulic mills. One of them, the Mirandaola foundry, has been rebuilt and it operates each Sundays as it did six centuries ago The Mirandaola foundry is one of the highpoints of the itinerary offered the Museo-Territorio Lenbur to illustrate the relationship between the Basques and their environment. Others, placed in two farmhouses, are the Shepherd's Ekomuseo, on the elaboration of Idiazabal cheese, and the Bread's Corner. Moreover, the "Working Route" proposes an original voyage to the fifties, with visits to places such as a classroom, a house, or a chapel. The Basque Iron Museum, together with the foundry, has been the last to join the circuit of the Iron Valley.
